cPanel - Changing an FTP Account's Password



This demo will describe how to change a user-created FTP account's password. If you wish to change your main FTP account's password, please see our demo on changing your cPanel password. Your main FTP account uses your cPanel password for authentication.







[1] Click on "FTP Accounts" within the "Files" section of your cPanel

[2] Scroll down and locate the FTP account that needs its password changed

[3] Click on the "Functions" drop down menu to the right of the FTP account and select "Change Password"

[4] Enter your password into the two "Password" fields (You can use cPanel's password generation utility if you prefer)

[5] Click the "Change" button to change your FTP account's password
